The pictures above show examples of how old furniture can be restored. After preparation a specialist primer is applied, followed by two coats of oil based eggshell paint. The table top has had a shellac based sealer applied prior to being finished in clear natural beeswax. Previously painted furniture is prepared and painted in the same way. All handles are removed and replaced on completion. Newly built cupboards have an MDF primer applied prior to an undercoat, then two coats of oil based eggshell. Oil based eggshell gives a hard wearing finish in a low-mid sheen which can always be cleaned.
